Taking pictures and filming is what we love, and what we do best. We are fascinated with lighting, composition, depth and photography. Dedicated cameramen, always upgrading skills, as well as embracing new gear and technology.
We have the experience to capture the heart of your story, to be able to grab that shot which shows the facts as you need them to be told. We give priority to the journalist's perspective.
We have worked with most camera formats on the market.
We have extensive experience with the old Sony workhorses, Digibeta and SP/SX formats, as we own these cameras. We also use the Sony HDCAM F750/ F900 Cinealta, and the new XD CAM on a regular basis. We have worked extensively with the Panasonic DVCPRO family, including the HD series, the Varicam, and the P2s.
In house, we also have a little Sony Z1 and an EX1, great cameras for the low budget productions and on the move broadcasting.
Currently we are mad about the Red One; having used it now on several projects including a feature film (as a second camera unit), we are working hard to make it part of our equipment room.
Also we embrace the DSLR and any 35mm adapter technology for video production as we welcome any new piece of equipment which can bring high end, quality pictures, on a tight budget.
Lighting is one of the most important factors in video and film production. At Freshwave Production we always take good care of the lighting, and it is one of our strongest points. We have a good selection of lighting instruments in the house and we use them applying the knowledge gained trough the study of the techniques and years of experience.
We also operate the Steadicam. We have the EFP model, but we operate the SK2 and the lighter Glidecam as well. This is one of our favourite pieces of equipment and we enjoy everytime we have to fly the rig to get that very distinctive `floating look´ in the pictures.
In many high end video or film productions, the use of heavy duty grip equipment is a must. We are used to working with the most sophisticated and state of the art grip tools, including: Panther Dolly, camera cars, car mounts, jibs, cranes, remote heads, etc.
